Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 22, 2026
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it safe.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly when you register for an account, subscribe to a plan, or contact our support team. This includes your name, email address, billing information, and any content you upload to the platform such as case files, documents, and client records.
We also collect usage data automatically — including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and session duration — to help us understand how the platform is used and to improve performance.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve the Docktix platform; to process transactions and send related notices; to respond to your support requests; to send service and promotional communications (you may opt out at any time); and to comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information or your clients' information to third parties.
3. Data Sharing
We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating the platform — including cloud infrastructure, payment processors, and analytics providers — under strict confidentiality agreements.
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Docktix and its users, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets.
4. Data Security
Docktix is SOC 2 Type II certified and HIPAA compliant. We implement AES-256 encryption for data at rest, TLS 1.2+ for data in transit, role-based access controls, and regular third-party security audits.
While we take industry-leading measures to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and to enable multi-factor authentication on your account.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@docktix.com.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain session state, analyze usage patterns, and personalize your experience. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect platform functionality.
We do not use advertising trackers or sell browsing data.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you; to object to or restrict processing; and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@docktix.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
Docktix is designed for legal professionals and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us immediately and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and, where appropriate, by email. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the latest changes were made. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
